| Heck No – Joe Heck Says It’s Not His Job to Create Jobs |

Unemployed Nevadans Need Someone Who Will Fight on Their Side FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 21, 2010 Henderson, NV – With the recent news that Nevada’s unemployment has increased, it is clear that the people of District Three need a representative who is going to fight to create jobs and put people back to work. Senator Joe Heck, however, shares the Angle belief that it’s not their job to create jobs. Despite the fact that Senator Heck has benefited from multiple government contracts, collecting as much as $1.1 million in taxpayer money, he said “the role of Congress is not to create jobs.” (Nevada Newsmakers, 5/5/10) “At a time when Nevadans are desperate to find work, they need someone who is going to fight on their side to bring good jobs to Southern Nevada,” Titus campaign manager Matt Lydon said. “While Dina Titus has worked hard to try to pull Nevada out of the deepest recession in a generation, Senator Heck has said he doesn’t think it would be his job to help put people back to work. Dina has voted to bring billions of dollars to Nevada that has helped save teacher and construction jobs and supported investments in renewable energy that can create 17,000 new jobs in Nevada. Compare that record to Senator Heck's view that Nevadans are on their own during this difficult time, and the people of CD3 have a clear choice this November.” |
