Distorting the Truth

Yesterday, I wrote to thank you for all that you have done for this campaign and for helping me get through our Primary Election. Little did we know at that moment the Republicans in Washington and the Tea Partiers around the country were preparing to unveil their latest smear campaign.

Today, we woke up to another misleading $100,000 television ad that distorts the facts and attacks me for voting for health care legislation. The fact is the reform I supported ends discrimination for pre-existing conditions, improves Medicare Advantage for our seniors, and lowers costs. These types of attacks will not end until Election Day and now more than ever I need you to make a financial contribution to our campaign.

Help us match their $100,000 television buy before the end of June. Contribute $25, $50, $100, or more. Together we can stand up to the special interests that are funding Senator Heck’s campaign and doing the dirty work for him.

Your immediate contribution will go to work today to fight back against those who wish to demean all that we stand for, including health care reform that strengthens Medicare, provides tax breaks for small businesses and families, and gives you the same kinds of choices as members of Congress.
